1. Who we are
Prode.io ("Prode.io", "we") is a sports-predictions site operated in Argentina. For any questions related to this Policy, write to us at contacto@prode.io.
2. Data we collect
We process the following personal data:
- Account data: first name, last name, email address and, optionally, profile picture. This data comes from the identity provider you choose (Google or another via Clerk) or what you enter on sign-up.
- Game usage data: your match predictions, knockout brackets, the groups you belong to, payment status within each group (paid / unpaid) and results.
- Technical data: IP address, session identifiers, device and browser type, access and error logs. Collected automatically while using the site.
- Communications: emails you send us and messages we send to your inbox (invitations, confirmations, notifications).
Important: Prode.io does not process payments or receive money. If your group has a buy-in, payments happen off-platform between members; we only record a boolean "paid" indicator set by the group admin.
3. Purposes of processing
We use your data to:
- Create and maintain your account.
- Let you submit predictions, join groups and see rankings.
- Compute scores and show your standing relative to other users.
- Send transactional emails (account sign-up, group invitations).
- Detect abuse, fraud or misuse.
- Improve the service and diagnose errors.
4. Legal basis
We process your data with your consent (granted when signing up) and to perform the service you request when using Prode.io, in accordance with Law 25.326 on Personal Data Protection of the Argentine Republic.
5. Providers and third parties
To deliver the service we share data with the following processors, acting under our instructions:
- Clerk — authentication and identity management.
- Supabase — database (predictions, groups, profiles).
- Vercel — hosting and application delivery.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Inngest — asynchronous task orchestration.
- Google — if you sign in with Google, your name, email and photo come from your Google account via its OAuth API.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside Argentina (mostly the United States and the European Union). In every case we require adequate contractual safeguards and they comply with international data protection standards.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your session signed in (managed by Clerk). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
8. Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. If you ask for it to be deleted, we remove it within a reasonable timeframe, except for what we must retain by legal obligation or to resolve disputes.
9. Your rights
As the data subject, you have the right to access, rectify, update, delete and object to the processing of your data. You can exercise these rights by writing to contacto@prode.io.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP), the data protection authority in Argentina (argentina.gob.ar/aaip).
10. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (encryption in transit, access controls, audit logs). No system is 100% secure: in the event of an incident that may affect you, we will notify you through available channels.
11. Minors
Prode.io is intended for users over 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we detect a minor's account, we will close it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the service or applicable regulations. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Significant changes will be notified by email or within the application.
